The West Baton Rouge Garden and Civic Club was established on January 17, 1928 and will soon be 100 years old. Our roots run deep and we want to keep planting America!
Our club believes in the National Garden Club's Conservation Pledge, "I pledge to protect and conserve the natural resources of the planet earth and promise to promote education so we may become caretakers of our air, water, forest, land, and wildlife."

Our object is to bring into closer relationship the interested gardeners and civic-minded citizens of the parish. To aid in the protection and conservation of our natural resources. To encourage civic beauty and to promote civic projects. The club flower is a crape myrtle its colors are red & white. Membership is by invitation and limited to residents of West Baton Rouge Parish.

The West Baton Rouge Garden and Civic Club is a member of District VI of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation, Inc., Deep South Garden Garden Club, Inc., and National Garden Club, Inc.
