The West Baton Rouge Garden and Civic Club supports planting native plants and the establishment of natural habitats to support wildlife and pollinators populations and save water.

The Louisiana Native Plant Society adminsters the Louisiana Certified Habitat (LCH) program for properties that conserve our state's natural heritage: native plants, animals, lands, and waters. Our club currently has thirteen (13) habitats certified under this program in our small parish.

Our club also has twenty-three (23) properties registered as National Garden Club, Inc., Pollinator Gardens; one certified Monarch Pathway garden; four certified wildlife habitats; and one designated Audubon Garden.

See Photo Guide to La. Native Plants to get advice on obtaining your LCH certification.

We feel strongly about supporting our local flora and fauna. Please contact the Louisiana Native Plant Society for more information about the Louisiana Certified Habitat program.
